"Okay, so we just learned all the basic punches and kicks from the basic to the more advanced, now we're going to start putting them together into combinations starting with the easiest ones. A little more basic so you guys can get a feel for it. Okay, set yourself up, staggered stance, hands are up, we're going to start with the jab cross, two basic punches. Now, I just want you to learn how to move your hips from side to side. You're going to step in, your hip will move toward the right. Okay, so that's facing in the opposite direction. We're started to the front, it turns all the way over, nice and straight arm right there. You see how I hit with the two first knuckles, we just went over all of this. Now, here comes the cross, your hips turn all the way over to the other side. Right there! See how my hips just turned all the way over to the opposite side. Again, I'm going to take a step back, knees are bent, I'm in a staggered stance. I'm going to step in toward my opponent starting with that jab. Turn those hips. If I need to, I take a little step over with this foot for the cross. That way I have more rotation on that hip. Okay, one more time, here we go, punch, punch. See how straight my arms are from the shoulder? You have to turn enough that you get that extension of the arm. So, we're going to speed it up a little bit. Medium speed. Step into that bag. One, two, pull that hand back and come back to original position. One more time. One, two, bring them back. Okay? I'm going to go a little more, a little faster, a little bit more power on the last one. Step in. One, two, step back. Very important you turn those hips. One, two, and come back. Okay, a very basic combination. Next we're going to add a slip. So, jab cross and slip."
