"A head standing yoga is very good because it causes the blood to rush to the head. It is a challenge for many many people to stand on their head. In this posture here we can do this and most anybody can do it. You separate your feet out wide so you have a wide stance. You take the pressure off your lower back by softening your knees and just let your hands come down and let your fingertips touch the floor and when the fingertips touch the floor lift the hips right up and take the top of the head right down towards the floor and cause the blood to rush right to the brain. Now here if you wish take the hands right out towards the feet to just open up the whole body and breath in deep through your nose and exhale, keep the shoulders released, another deep breath in and exhale. Now you can take the head closer and closer towards the floor lifting the hips right up and breathing deep through your nose and exhale and another deep breath in and exhale, now release and come all the way up. Now for starting this type of posture many times a person will just come down to the floor, lift themselves up, lift the head down towards the floor, take a deep breath in and then they will come back up. Of course it is more beneficial to hold the posture anywhere from 30 seconds to 45 seconds. Take a deep breath up and then exhale and release right down."
