Juggling 3 Clubs: Thumb Roll Flourishes

"In this video we're going to talk about learning some other flourishes. We've already learned the standard flourish and how to incorporate that into our three club pattern, something like this. Now we're going to learn some of the other cool flourishes that are out there. Of course, a flourish is really whatever you want to do. A good friend of mine actually used a flourish just by spinning his hand, and that looked really cool. So it doesn't have to be as complicated as spinning it through your fingers or doing all this stuff. It can just be, you hold the club here, you let your arm go forward, and spin your wrist. So that would look something like that. That's a simple flourish. You put that in the pattern the same way you would put in the standard flourish. That is you throw a double out of your left hand and flourish on your right in that space of time. Another very common flourish is called the thumb roll. For the thumb roll, you're going to hold the club towards the top like this, and you're going to spin it around your thumb like that. You're just going to roll it over the top of your thumb so that spin once in your hand. Again, that's here, it spins around the center of the club and back into the palm of your hand. Incorporating that into the pattern just the same way that you would incorporate all the other flourishes. You throw a double and then flourish with your other hand. Again, the thumb roll. There is of course, as many flourishes as you can come up with. Make up your own, do a lot of cool things. Just make sure you keep it fluid and make it looking good."
