"In this video I'm going to be talking about what are usually called penguin catches. Now these are pretty hard actually. And though they may look stupid and make you look like a penguin, hence the name, they actually take a good amount of practice. At least they did for me. Maybe they'll catch on for you. But just to give you an idea what they look like, these are penguin catches. Hopefully you can see the penguin. Maybe if I were wearing a tuxedo it would help. But that's what penguin catches look like. Now to execute a penguin catch, what's really going on is I'm throwing. So if I'm throwing a left handed throw, I'm going to catch in a penguin catch with my right hand. I turn my right hand out, straight locked at the elbow. Turn my wrist out like this, so my hands down at my side like this. I'm throwing here and catching like that. So your throw really has to go right up to the elbow and straight down. It has to be close to your body and like that. Then when you throw from a penguin catch, you're just going to bring your hand back up. So like that. Just practice this extensively with both hands. Then try and put it into a three ball pattern, just every once in a while add a penguin catch. Something like that. Then when you incorporate it into solid catches, this will take a little bit of practice, but looks something like that. Penguin catches."
