"Shedding is a normal occurrence in cats. If your cat is an indoor/outdoor cat, it's going to shed more because it develops a thicker coat in the colder weather if you're in a climate that gets colder, shedding is obviously going to happen more in areas where it snows and then you have a nice Spring. So it happens mostly in the Spring. You can see Maylee has a problem here where her, she has shed out her hair but it hasn't actually left her body, it's gotten all clumped up in with the hair that's still attached to her , so brushing is going to help to get that out and it's going to help to take the regular hair that is shedding one by one out and help Maylee to get more shiny and have a healthier coat. It's also going to prevent some major aggravations that we have with our cats getting hair all over the furniture, on our clothing, and other areas, on the counters, and places where you really don't want to have cat hair, so brushing will really help to promote healthy shedding and keep that cat hair where it really belongs, inside the brush."
