"Administering pills to your cat may be necessary if your cat has intestinal worms or if your veterinarian is treating your cat for some sort of infection. So, you can look back at the previous segment on how to retrain your cat for medication. But, I'll go over it again briefly here. You just want to make your kitty as comfortable as possible. If they don't think it's a big deal, they're going to do better. So, you see Ace is laying down just sort of comfortable. And, in order to give him a pill I'm going to use a treat as a pill. I can just lift up his head, take his lips right behind his teeth and you see how his mouth opens a little bit like that. I just push that pill in and let his head go. And, there's the pill. If your cat is a little bit too uncooperative to do that, then you can use a pill gun. This may be safer if you're afraid of getting bitten by your cat. And, you'd put the pill in this pill gun. My treat is kind of soft, so it's hard to get into the pill gun. So, there's a little split in the pull gun where the treat can fit. And, then there's a little plunger here. So, again the same. You'd lift up the kitty's head. When his mouth opened a little bit, you'd put the pill gun in here and give it a little push at the end and the pill goes in. You just want to make sure and hold his mouth closed, so he can't spit it out at you."
