"During this segment what we'll do is take a look at rough shaping the bowl. Tool position is a little bit different, you're still rotated at a forty-five degree angle, but you're also going to drop the tool down forty-five degrees. We will take this from, this is going to be the base, so it's going to be at a narrower diameter, we'll work from the narrow to the higher diameter. Take it and just slowly bring it across. What you'll see on the cutting is we're getting on along this side and able to take almost a quarter inch slice as we're going. After you start getting some space between the rest and the work, you bring the tool rest in, and then go in a little more, and this allows you to take a more aggressive cut with the bowl. You also see that the finish starts coming out. Here we have a lot of rough from the roughing, becomes more, it becomes smoother at this point."
