"During this segment, we'll take a look at making cove cuts, the depression cuts, the concave cuts with the skew. To figure what you want to do in this, is mark the area that you want to have the cove cut in. You'll start with the tool almost on its side, above and bringing it in and it's best to start near the center, where you want to work. Bring the tool in. Raise the handle, and twist. Go to the opposite side, and do the same. As you work, you're constantly bringing yourself in lower into the cut. When you want a steeper side, you bring your handle around, so that this bevel goes in almost perpendicular, and then you start your twist, same thing on the opposite side. During this process, it's also good to try to put pressure down with your thumb against the work, to keep the skew from moving side to side, the gouge from moving side to side."
