"In this segment I'm going to teach you about doing a Lotus sweep kick. It's a conditioning exercise that's done to help also open the hip joint, keep control and balance in the body, and to condition the body. So with this particular one, again, the hands are out and what we're going to do is to take the back leg, bring it up and out and we want to try and hit our hand, but don't necessarily bend your knee to do that. If you can't hit your hand it's OKay if you can only hit your thigh, that's fine, but the idea is it comes up and across. And, you see I don't move my body very much. A little bit of movement, but not much. So you just bring the hand up and you try to bring the foot more to the hand than thinking about the hand. And, you want to move from your hip joint. So you just move the hip joint, so it's all about rolling the hip joint. Alright? Just all about rolling the hip joint, trying to keep as much control over the body. So, it's just drawing a big circle. What you want to kind of avoid is this type of thing, just trying to (grunt), I just want to hit my foot. It's not important that you hit your foot. If you can only do small movement, that's Okay, you just do, that's Okay, at least you're moving your hip joint. So, Lotus sweep."
