"As you see I've started the basic rough of the bowl. The roughing of the inside proceeds similar to the outside in that the tool is held parallel to the ground, at the start of the cut you are at about 45 degrees. After you enter in, you can drop the handle down to do a sheering type cut where you are down at about a 45 degree angle. I'm back up to about 1,000 RPM and when you get into the bowl to a degree you can bring your tool rest in a little bit closer, then again you continue this down until you get the basic shape of the bowl that you are looking for."
