"And what we'll do at this point is finish the outside shape of the bowl. First thing I will do is put a defined base on it. By doing this, I'm taking the tool, rotating it up so that I'm entering the work perpendicular. Bring that down until I get a shape I want. I'll duck tail it just slightly, then go back to the shearing cut and work on a nice line. What you want to do is set yourself up a nice shape and finish the outside edge, bring it in. Generally you're working from the, the narrower diameter to the larger diameter."
