"Purvottanasana, reverse plank. Purvottanasana is a pose that's not available to everybody, but with the assistance of the straps and another person, you can start to feel the strength that you need to get this pose done. So the first thing that I've done is belted her arms together, which gives stability to her arms so they can't go out on their own. It really builds some stability, and then the strap itself is going to give her some stability on her back. So the first thing that she's going to do is present the pose to her to us. And then then what you're going to do as an assistant is support her body. And you can just lean back, so you're not doing any work either. You're just using all of your weight to hang yourself back. So if you take the strap and double it, you're not going to have any effort to hold on. So that she can feel the strength that it takes to get this pose done, she can begin to open the front of her body, bending her knees as she needs to, and then slowly release back into the earth."
