"Now working with all the different effects and all these different vocal processors it's very easy to get them to sound harsh. And the easiest way to soften up those effects and those processors is by adding a reverb. The easiest way to add a reverb is to do it through the bus system. Which I have talked a little earlier about in a different segment. But in this series, we'll go over it again, because when creating a beat you need to know and be able to put reverb on different tracks. Especially if you're processing vocal tracks you need to be able to soften that up. So say we put a reverb on our bus one, we go back to our vocal track, we send up our bus one, and that allows us to soften some of the harshness of these vocals. See how they're kind of right in the front of your face right now? And it's a little close, a little harsh. We'll pull these up and it makes it a little softer a little more smooth, it kind of falls back into the beat. And reverb can be a very essential tool in hiding certain things, making certain things that may be out of pitch or still not correct, gives them a little bit extra amount of their own sound file so that it smoothes it out in the long run, because it's adding extra harmonics in there that make it less harsh for the average listener."
