"Now I'm going to go through the basics of uploading a track onto Reverbnation. Reverbnation is different than MySpace in many ways 'cause you can have an unlimited number amount of tracks as well as your track file size can be up to eight megabytes, whereas I believe MySpace, it used to be around five, but maybe they've uploaded it to six or seven. But I know that eight megabytes is very long for a song, usually an MP3, if it's four minutes, is about four megabytes, so that means you can have up to an eight minute long song depending on the conversion rate of the MP3. To upload the song, this is the main artist page, whereas before we were on a label page. Here you can see all the different songs that I have uploaded. So all you have to do you go over to the right here, once you have your artist page, click on upload a song, and it's going to give you the menu to type a song name, choose a song file, decide whether you want it available for download, streaming only, or as a fan exclusive, which allows you to hear a snippet, but then gives people incentive to join as a fan. You can also link a YouTube video to your song if you have a video of that, and then you can put info and lyrics down at the bottom. And when you're uploading the song, right after you hit done or upload now, it's going to give you a box that says and asks if you own the copyright, because they're very serious about not allowing people to upload music that they don't own the copyright to, 'cause it's a new unsigned act, a lot of newer musicians as well as major label musicians on this page and it's just a way to ensure that everybody who puts something on there, knows that they said it was theirs, so if anything comes down later on in court, the person who put it up obviously should be telling the truth but they can tell that if it's not their song, that they lied and used somebody's material on it. So it kind of saves some of the new musicians in the copyright issues."
