"In this clip I'm going to show you how to open a new Pro Tools session. First click on your Pro Tools icon or your session. Well since this is a new session you won’t already have a session but either way we'll open Pro Tools. Once you do that it'll give you two window sets. The first window set is your arrange window. The second one is your mix window. Of course right now there's nothing there because we haven't put in any tracks. But before we put in tracks I'm going to talk to you about file management and organization from the operating system view. When you start a session you want to name everything first because otherwise it'll be generic numbered audio 1, audio 2 and it makes it very hard to find files at a later date. Especially if you have many sessions. As well as the organization of those files within folders and within larger folders within the session and then the audio file folders keeps everything organized so that you can actually find what you're looking for at a later date."
