"In this clip, I am going to be showing you some basic keyboard shortcuts to use in pro-tools that will help you more efficiently record and mix different projects. To start off, there are two main windows; the editing and mixing window, which sometimes, as right now you can see, you don't really know where the mixing window is. So, if you hit Apple-equals, it will quickly shift over to the next window. When there are many windows involved, especially including plug-ins and different sends and returns, it can get very confusing and apple-equals will definitely help with switching back and forth between the different menus. To zoom in and zoom out in the editing window, we use Apple left bracket and apple right bracket which will give you easy access to quick zooming in and zooming out. For play, very simple, all you need to do is hit space bar. It is the quickest and easiest way to play. In pro-tools, it will always start from the last place you played. To record, you would hit three and three on an actual tower will allow you to record. On a laptop, it is apple-space bar."
