"Once you have your pattern picked out you can -- if it's going to take you days to put it together -- you can draw it out and kind of color in pieces so you remember what was where, or you can set them in blocks together and just try to kind of remember, or if you have enough time, you can just leave them out until you get them put the way they need to go. We're going to go ahead and just right sides facing; edges together that are closest in size. Be careful -- you want to make sure that when you cut them you try to cut so that the length is the strong part and the width is the stretchy part, cause that just makes for a stronger quilt. We're going to just have it on a straight stitch; I usually put about a half inch seam. You can do a quarter inch but then you're more likely to end up with holes later, so I think a half inch is a little safer. Just do your backstitch to keep it in place. In doing this, you're just going to put together different blocks and pieces of the quilt. Just keep adding and then you just keep adding all the blocks together and adding more and more pieces together until you get out, you get the full size that you were looking for. Keep in mind when you lay it out that it will be smaller once the seams are in."
