Logic Pro 8: Adding Bass to Drum Beat

"Now I'm going to add bass to my drum loop. So I've opened the session that I have, drum loop. I've done it in the sequencing section of the drum machine. Right now I have it automated to start playing here. Then on my bass track I'm going to set up, this specific synth is a mono synth and at a low setting will give me a bass style sound. So then what I want to do is take the trigger and record in specific notes that I want to be played and then that'll give me my view here of my bass notes. So I've pre-done this and I'll play you the bass as it is, and then you can change all the different parameters from the notes in this view; or you can change the sound of the bass, via the actual synth. And there's all different types of parameters within different synths that gives you different types of sounds and the ability to change certain sounds to make them a bass, take this bass sound and make it a different sound, and really adapt and create new and interesting things within your own beats."
