"Here we have the hard rubber groomers. We have one with softer teeth, one with harder teeth. This one is nice for horses with a long fur coat, especially in the winter time, because it will really get in there and dig and right now Deshecu does not have a lot of fur, I'll use this one on him with the softer teeth. It's a little bit more flexible and you can again use this the way you could use any other Curry comb. Circular motions, doing the same that you would do with any other massage stroke, doing light, moderate and heavy pressure and paying attention to what your horse is telling you. If you start working in a certain area and the horse is flinching or pulling away from you, cocking a leg at you, just telling you that they're not happy then move on or pick up a different grooming tool. Work your way down the horse from the pole all the way down his back, his hind quarters and because this has pretty soft teeth you can do the legs with it as well. Be careful any time you're working with the horse's hind legs, to be paying attention to them and standing in a way that's going to minimize the risk of you getting kicked. You can use this on the belly, which he really likes, and this is a good tool to use along the mid line of the belly to get the horse to do his belly lifts."
