"And there's the hard brush, which almost everyone has one of these. This is something that in the winter time, when your horses are very hairy, you can use this all over their body. In the summer time, I reserve this for either horses of mine that I know like a lot of pressure and that aren't terribly sensitive to it or for areas on their legs where they're getting muddy and dirty, and you need to get those cleaned up. It's, the bristles are quite hard on this, and you want to be careful on a sensitive horse or a thin skinned horse, that you not apply so much pressure that you're causing irritation to the skin. OK. But these do a nice job of increasing the circulation, increasing the blood flow, helping to warm up their muscles, as well as doing a good job of getting the dirt and mud and scurf off of them. You want to be careful using these to, a, be careful using them on the abdomen and I don't recommend using these on the face."
