"When you begin work on the horse's chest area, you're going to begin by doing palm compression, sort of a slapping technique, back and forth to increase the blood flow and the circulation. Again, light, moderate and heavy pressure. And then you progress to scooping. First one side, then the other, back and forth. If there are any particular areas that the horse does enjoy you working on, you can stay there a little longer. Might as well make it as pleasant for them as possible. And stopping to treat any particular sore areas with gentle, direct pressure. And again, not jibbing the horse. Applying steady pressure and releasing. And then close the same way that you opened (gives chest gentle slaps)."
