"Another good stretch that you can do with your horse is for their hind leg. What you are going to do then is to pick the horse's hind leg up as though you were going to pick out their hoof and gradually very slowly pull the hoof forward toward their abdomen, again you do not want to jerk on the foot, you just want to use a nice steady even pressure. Make sure that you are not torquing the foot outward, just pull it in a straight line forward and then you are going to gradually walk backward holding the horse's foot and stretch the hind leg out behind. Ok and again when you are doing this it's important to let the horse tell you what they are comfortable with and what you need to not be doing. If you sense resistance on the part of the horse, you're going to want to back off from it, set the hoof down carefully, don't let the horse jerk the hoof out of your hands. The horse will, there is a potential for the horse to injure either himself or to injure you. So again pay attention to what your horse is telling you and let them be your guide as you are working with them."
