"With the wheel going at full speed, you want to have your left hand resting lightly on the back pushing in and the heel of your right hand pushing down and out towards the 9:00 position. And you repeat this process several times, keeping a concave shape; left hand pushing in a little bit, heel of your right hand pushing out. It might be necessary with large piece of clay to repeat this process several times; slowly leave the piece."
