"With the wheel going at a fast rate of speed, I'm going to bring the piece up into a cone shape again and gripping it firmly, with both hands. One third of the way up, you're index finger and your thumb are exerting more pressure, producing a convex shape on top. Starting at the bottom, you're cupping the piece, with your hands one third of the way up, index finger and thumb exerting more pressure and take your hands away slowly. Again, the cone shape should look more like a rod, than a pyramid. You really want to align those clay platelets in the correct direction, which will prevent any S cracking."
