"Here we're going to talk to you about the different patterns of set ups, of tip ups for game fish. We've spoken a little bit about in the past, a little bit about setting up salmon trap lines going across a current or across a shoal, whichever holds bait fish that are going from one direction to another. Similar to this line right here, we've got three set across currents that is coming from a river that the smelt tend to run up into. So this would be a typical set up, quite a bit further apart, but a typical set up for salmon. Now if you wanted to set up for lake trout, you might do the more just like running perch, you're going to have a north, south, east and west scenario where you can capture fish coming from different angles. If you start noticing that a particular hole is producing better than another hole, well you may pull one out and say, "well gee, you know they seem to be running from east to west", and set your trap up on the west side of that so that you can vary on the different compass points, north, south, east and west of your central hole."
