"We'll begin with what I think is the key letter to the Uncial alphabet, which is the letter O. And, if we look at some of the alphabets in this hand, or writing style, you'll see, that they all have sort of a characteristic rounded shape, lots of curves, so when we draw the O, we're pretty much drawing the keynote letter for this alphabet. Now, sometimes, if you don't use your pen for a few minutes, the ink starts to dry into it. Now, let's break the O down, it's actually two strokes. So there's one, and here's the second stroke. Now, I'm sure you're all in the habit of writing your O with one single stroke, but for more control, and especially at this pen size, I'm going to be writing it with two strokes. Again, I'm not changing the angle of the pen, and I'm overlapping those strokes. So, what we're getting is we're getting a letter that's a little bit wider than it is tall."
