Using a Folding Ice Fishing Auger

"OK. Here we have an offset auger that is also a folding auger. Now, a folder auger can be very helpful when we're in need of space. It's much more compact than a straight rigid auger. Notice here there's a screw with a wing nut on it and this will fold downwards to the blade which gives the auger about half the distance. It makes it much more compact. Now, a folding auger may not be quite as strong or as durable as a straight rigid auger; however it really makes up for it in compactness and the ability to transport it across long distances. If you're going to be using an ATV and hauling your material, hauling your equipment on an ATV a folding auger maybe just the thing. You can strap that onto the front or rear shelf of your ATV."
