"Now we're going to use an in-line auger and I'm going to show you the technique for drilling, where to apply hand pressure, how to push down, and how to drill using right or left hand aversions. Now this our four inch in-line auger, we're going to use a technique where its in-line, our top hand is going to be stationary. Notice this bulb on top, it's a half ball is rotating so that our hand can stay still and the auger will rotate around our hand. Now we're going to hold still, we're going to take a position where our feet are a little more than shoulder width apart and we can turn this auger where our outside hand is going around the center and our top hand is putting pressure on top of the stem. Pretty quickly to get through there. You want to flush the hole out and then a technique for clearing the hole quickly. Put your foot in the middle and push the ice outward from both sides as opposed to pushing it all the way across and pushing ice back in the hole."
