"Before we get started again, let's look at scale and guidelines. The letters are four pen with size. I'm going to show you a little scale, one, to rather than measure with a ruler, measuring with my pen. So my letters are about four pen with size and I'm going to fit between these guidelines which I've done in pencil on my practicing paper. In drawing the letters you want to make sure that you hit the guidelines, so, you've gone to the trouble of making guidelines, so let's put the letters and fit them in between the guidelines. Now the height over the pen scale is going to give us consistent proportionately shape letters. These are the letters we've done so far, so you can see those a, g, c, e, i; and I think I forgot anything here and here's the dot on the i. So get your page ready so that we can get going with the rest of that alphabet."
