"So in Triangle Pose or Trikonasana in Sanskrit, we're going to keep the forward knee pretty much straight. It's a fluid knee that would, you want to make sure that you're not hyper-extending the knee towards the floor and you're not really bending it. And you also want to make sure for good alignment, again it's all about physics, you want to make sure that that knee cap is right above your second toe. And you can certainly bend the knee a few times, and make sure that as you bring it back to a soft, straight line, there's no torque in the ankle or the knee itself and the knee cap is directly above the second toe. You want to make sure that it's not rolling in or rolling out which could cause a lot of problems. Just keep the knee cap right above the second toe as your feet are in alignment, heel in line with heel, rear foot forty to forty five degrees, forward foot ninety degrees. And again, that knee cap of the forward leading leg is right over the second toe."
