"We have got our bowl blank that we have cut to a relatively round circle using the chain saw and we are ready to mount it on the lathe and there are a variety of ways that you can use to mount your bowl blank on the lathe and in this way we are going to use the two prong drive spur and we are going to do this between centers. You don't want to use a four prong drive spur and this is what a four prong drive spur looks like because we are working with green wood and to get a good bite in the wood we are going to use the two prong and we are going to drive it right in between the grain that runs this way. If I were to use the four prong I wouldn't be able to drive this drive spur very deep into the wood and eventually it would start spinning like this and I'd have to start all over again. So I'm going to find the point that I created when I did my compass and I'm going to use a mallet and I'm going to go ahead and just drive this right in. Now I'm going to take this and mount it right up here on the lathe, bring the tail stock up and lock it in."
