"In this clip I'm going to show you how to look for that nice sloping curve. There are a couple of ways you can do it. The first way is to get down even with the blank and look with your eye. Now if your turning has not been smooth you will see an undulated surface and by undulated I mean there are some rippling bumps and I can see just by my naked eye that I do have a bump right here but let's suppose you don't necessarily see it. Another way to check is to use one of your five senses. If you close your eyes and you put your hand on the blank and you are forcing your sense of touch to find a flatness or a bump that you otherwise might not have seen with your eye and that is a good way to check whether you have a nice smooth curve or not so let's get rid of that bump."
