"Alright, one of the things you need to be aware of when you're using a vacuum shuck, is sometimes the bowl will not be exactly in the center. A problem that you won't run into if you use the cold jaws. So, I'll show you how you can center your bowl to make sure that it's as perfectly centered as possible. Turn the vacuum pump on and give it some vacuum pressure. I'm going to turn the lathe on to see if I've got a surface problem. I can see some undulation there. So, what I can do is take a little bit of pressure off the tail stock, a little bit of pressure off the vacuum and sometimes, I make it even worse."
