"Okay, here we're going to try to draw the nine iron. So the nine iron, we're getting the increasingly longer clubs. It's got a lot of loft as you can see on it, so it's going to get a lot of backspin. You're still not going to be able to impart as much side spin to get that gentle hook, which is what a draw is, as you can with a three iron. But what I want you to do is, you're going to line up parallel to the line of flight, which that club represents. So this would be how I would hit the ball straight. And then I'm going to aim to the right, and then I'm going to close the club face a little bit. So what this will produce is side spin. So the ball will go from the right side to the left. So I can draw it in so I can go around a tree or some impediment or obstruction. Or I, if the pin is at the left of the green, I can draw it in there. I'm going to get more distance out of a nine iron by drawing it than I normally do, so you have to account for that. Okay, so that wasn't bad, but I think I need to keep doing this too and perfect this shot. But the draw is a great shot to have in your arsenal because it can get you out of a lot of trouble. It can also set you up for some good scoring opportunities."
