"Alright, now we're going to start a series of letters which combine straight lines and bowls. So I wanted to show you that while they have the same parts, they aren't always equal. So here for example is the letter "B", here's the letter "P", letter "R", and letter "D". Now each one of these is comprised of some curves and some straight lines. But as you can see, the proportions of these bowls or curves (another term for the curves) is not the same. So as we go forward, we're going to be looking at each individual letter, but they aren't necessarily going to line up with each other, so that's something to keep in mind."
