So now my cup is set up and I'm ready to trim it. First thing I'm going to do, is remove the splash pan from my wheel. And set it aside. Now I'm going to use, what's called a Giffin grip. You don't have to use, one of these. You can use three lumps of clay. To hold your piece, in place. But these work really well. I just re-positioned it, to make sure that it wasn't off. And now I'm going to clean it off. And what this is, is it's got an inner spiral track. So as you spin, the holders move, in and out. And they're always on center. It's a really great tool. So now, I'll take my little cup. I'll set it in the middle. And I will gently, make sure that the Giffin grip has grabbed on. All the way around. And now my piece is on center. And it's not going to topple over. As I trim it.
