"Now I'm going to show you how to properly assemble your flute, as well as some daily maintenance tips. First of all, we'll start out with picking up our body here, and we want to make sure that we place our hands somewhere where there’s not keys so we will take great care not bending the keys. I have our head joint here and we want to go ahead and just slide that in. Now if it doesn't slide in properly, than you probably have something wrong with your tenon. We want to take a look at, this is a Yamaha brand, this has arrows to line it up properly, but the tried and true way is to line up your embrasure hole with your first key right here and that is usually the best rotation to have your, your flute head joint in. And here we have our foot joint, and we want to place that on the end of our body here. I'll go ahead and put that on. And again, we want to not hold onto the keys. If, if you have to put it together tightly, then there’s something up with it. But, you want to line them up, usually I like to line them up, this one has arrows, but I like to line it up with this key, with this post in the middle of this key. Now, every time you get done playing it, you should wipe it off to prevent any unsightly tarnish or unnecessary wear to your flute because the natural make up of your sweat in your hands will actually pull the plating up on your flute if you don't wipe it off. So we want to take our silver polishing cloth, or if you don't have that around, get your little bit of Windex and a paper towel out. We want to go ahead and wipe our flute down every time we get done playing as well as run a swab, or use a hankie with your tuning rod tool here, and, and pull it through your instrument and clean the bore out daily. And that is how to properly assemble your flute, as well as some daily maintenance tips."
