"Now I'm going to show you how to maintain the finish of your trumpet. If you don't wipe your trumpet off when you get finished playing or as needed, little things like this on your trumpet can happen where the actual lacquer starts falling off, and you really don't want that to happen. So we have a couple things that we can use here, we can use this regular window cleaner, any kind will work. I'm going to spray the paper towel or a soft cloth, old t-shirt will work just fine, go ahead and wipe off the trumpet, pretty much all over, wherever you can reach with your fingers. This helps get the grease from your fingers off of the trumpet. And after this, we can use, you can keep one of these, of course Windex isn't a very easy thing to carry around with you, so we'll go back to our little lacquer cloth that we have here, and this is very useful tool as well to maintain the finish of your trumpet. Now if you have a silver trumpet, they make silver cloths here for those as well. You want to do that after you get done playing, otherwise your trumpet will tarnish. Also you could use Pledge, and it works real good to get all that grease off from your fingerprints. And that is how to maintain the finish of your trumpet."
