"Now I'm going to show you how to repair a damaged bottom or top cap. First of all, this one here is very pesky, it doesn't want to turn down. There is numerous reasons why those would be either stuck or just won't go back on after you've taken them off, you could have dented it, dropped it, there could be debris in there, or maybe even a little bit of corrosion. Basically, if it won't turn anymore, I'm going to take my little rawhide mallet here, and ever so slightly tap on the outside of that. I want to go ahead and turn it until it won't go anymore, and tap on it one more time. To prevent any of your bottom or top caps from sticking or getting stuck, go ahead and oil them along while you are oiling your valves, and this will prevent that from happening. And that is how you repair a bottom or a top cap."
