"Now I'm going to show you how to repair a bent bumper. This one here normally happens from a very sharp blow to the end of the trombone slide. I see it quite a bit. First of all we got to get a good pair of pliers, I like these flat nose wire cutters here. I'm going to try to grab it around the, actually I'm going to take this bumper off first, so we can get a good hold on the bumper. I'll take our round nose pliers, now if that happens I would just let it go. It has pulled away, the solder joint has pulled away. Sometimes you really can't get them off without that happening, and the slide crook would have to be replaced. Or you can take it to your local professional, which will have the tools to remove that dent, and properly re-solder your bumper and your bumper plate. And that is how to straighten a bent bumper."
