"One of the things you need to think about when you're designing a bridal bouquet is the shape of the bouquet. And, what that does it will have you decide on how you're going to construct the bouquet and what flowers to use. Right now, you could go to any craft store, florist or any florist will have is different holders. Some of the holders are like this one here where you've got a handle that's at an angle. Some are round with a ball that just sits up on top. And, in these type of a thing holders you could do more of a round bouquet or a teardrop cascading bouquet. Which, is a more traditional and formal wedding. If you want you could also go to, they have holders out now where they have fake stems coming down from the holder and you put your flowers up here. This is to create more of a round, more casual type of a bouquet. It'll help keep a water source or for this case silks in place so that the flowers will last for the wedding. Another style is more of a very casual where it looks like you went out to the garden and just grabbed a bunch of flowers and wrapped the stems. That's called a hand tied bouquet and that's much more informal, more relaxed atmosphere for that type of a bouquet. The other one is an arm bouquet, which actually lays in your arm similar to the way a baby would and you carry it this way. This is larger flowers. You could put bows down here if you like a lot of ribbon in your weddings. And, that gives you another totally different look of a more casual wedding than the other ones before. There's also more of a very high end formal wedding where you take and actually just do a crescent style. Which, is the flowers are here and it comes down around the side. And, what you need to do is when you're designing these is make sure that you keep it down low. Because, when you view this from the top or when you're walking down the aisle these flowers will be viewed lower and down to the waist. You need to keep it down low. So, the shape of the bouquet is important because it will let you know it's carry the theme out. But, also you don't want to hide the bride's dress. If the bride has a very intricate dress, the flowers are to accent her. They're not to overpower her and hide her dress. So, when you carry the bouquet down lower and you design it you have to make sure that it doesn't fight with the dress that it compliments it. It's to carry the theme from the dress, the bride, all the way out through and into the flowers. And, if you wanted to add anything in it that is not typical florals non-floral materials you're able to do that. You could do that many different ways with crystals, like I said seashells, pearls, anything like that. Ribbons, ask the bride if she wants ribbons in her wedding. And, that could still be attached to this as well as the informal hand tied or arm held bouquets. And, that's basically the shape you need to find out from the bride when she's designing her wedding."
