"On this wreath I decided what we are going to do because of the way the branches came out is I am going to try to make a landscape with the tree in the center and a field of flowers down below. It is easier if you start by laying it on a horizontal surface and laying your flowers in place of what you visualize them looking like. What I am trying to do here is to create a little bit of color at the top of my wreath and I will make a canopy for like where the leaves and the top of the wreath is going to go. Try to tuck it in to any of the places that I can. If you need to go ahead and wrap it around and lightly wire it so you sort of get a general drift or idea of what it is going to look like and then I was saying that I wanted to take a go ahead and do a field with flowers in it. Because it is a wreath I try to do the outer edges with some interest so that it looks a nice round shape, using silk flowers is very easy because you can bend them into the shapes that you want them in. The other things that you can use is potted live plants or you can use fresh flowers if you are doing something for a wedding. What this is doing is allowing me to come up with my design, cut any of these long stems off that you need, that was an easy one and basically what I am doing here is creating my landscape that I saw when I was out in nature adding a little flowers here, a little interest and now I visualize what my wreath is going to look like. It is not put together or anything yet, I can still make any kind of adjustments that I need but now I have an idea of what my wreath is going to look like and make sure that I have enough contrasting flowers."
