"Just as we can use green or blue in order to establish distance in green, if we use yellow, or a yellow-green in our green. Because we're working with pastel, we can mix yellow on top of green for good effect because it's all going to blend in the eye anyway. That yellow is going to come forward. Remember, we're not trying to recreate reality, we're trying to create the illusion of reality."
