"Again, I'll work from the medium greens, toward the shadows and then, after I've got shadows, I'll add the highlights. Lets establish the shapes of some of these leaves, in the medium green, and we'll start with that one bright one right in the center, which is the greenest, the purest of the greens. It's below this flower and it's not that large and it's basically a heart shape. There's a lot of highlights in there, I haven't put them in at all, I'm just going to work from the medium, toward the darker. It goes darker around the bottom edge and on this backside and along this edge. Notice how the highlights are already starting to come out and I haven't even added a highlight. Those highlights almost go to white. For a point of reference, lets go ahead and add one or two strokes, of the lightest values, so that we have something to compare with, as we're constructing the rest of these leaves. I'm seeing that that very edge, that green, goes almost to black against a gray background, so let's get that darkness in there because this is going to establish how all the rest of the greens are going to appear, relative, to this one."
