"So we're in the process, we're just removing the strings. I have loosened this string and untangled the spaghetti from this owner's strings, and I'll pull it off. Typically you don't want to remove all of the strings at the same time on an instrument. It's just not good for it. And when you do have to remove all the strings on the instrument, the safest way to do it is to remove the strings from the outside. First this one, and then this one, and then this one and this one so that you don't end up putting too much tension on one side of the neck over the other. You remember by tie, if we took three strings off on this side of the neck, it still has a hundred pounds of pressure on this side of the neck. So you can create some serious issues if you do it. Plus, it's used to being under tension, soon as you release that tension, things are going to shift. So you removed it up here, and if you can get these out with your fingers, great. Remove them gently and then pull this out. Sometimes you may be required to bring in a heavier duty tool such as this one, to slip under and remove these carefully."
