"What we're going to do now is mix the raw sienna with burnt sienna and get the next level of brown coming in. I'm looking at where the darks are happening. So at this point, you know, you're going to look and find the next darkest area. And then keep with the grain as you darken up in the area of the hair. You're doing sort of dry brushing. And this dry brushing means that you don't have any paint thinner on the brush and you're painting so that it breaks up over the texture of the canvas. And what you want to do is just paint all the hair that's the same color, whatever color you got in your brush lay that into the hair."

on 8/25/2008 this video would be more effective, if it had been shot with tight shots. You can't really see what the instructor is painting. The idea is "how to"--not--"watch me" paint.
