"Now when you're doing these Victorian motifs, it's nice to start with a tea stained egg and I'll show you how to tea stain that egg, and that way when you're putting your motifs on the egg, if a little bit of the egg shows, it'll have the, a softer color, it'll have that kind of sepia look to it. So, you want to do, is first I have some boiling water here, and I'm going to just brew some tea, and you want to brew it rather strong, and place the, the emptied, the hollowed eggs into the tea bath. And then weigh it down with something very gently and leave that to sit until the eggs are stained. The longer you leave the, the eggs in the tea bath and depending upon how strong the tea is made, will determine how dark the eggs get. So you can pull them out occasionally and see if they're stained the way you like it."
