"Actually, the complete process of a person coming in would be to come in to choose it to order it. And, then I would write down all the numbers. I would then order it. I request that he pays half of it up front. There is two reasons for this. One, it covers some of my cost for renting it. And, secondly it ties them to the order. Therefore, they're more likely to come back and not just go someplace else and order one they like better. So, it makes a commitment in their mind to the tux they have ordered. We then, I would call in to my vendor. The vendor, who is not in my area at all. It's on the West Coast and I would call in the order according to the numbers and the measurements. And, the young man would then know his commitment and leave. I call in the order and approximately two to three days before the event that he tells me he needs it, the tux would arrive. If it was a very special rush, it might be an overnight. For additional charges, I do do that. And, I require customers to share in those costs. Then, I also at the time he picks it up I add a deposit on of twenty dollars. This makes it that it was a more costly for him to get it, number one. And, that he might value it. But, number two to bring it back by Monday after the event or Tuesday if we're closed on a Monday. Usually, they're on weekends. The reason being, that I then get them all back and he receives his deposit back of twenty dollars. There were times I charges a less a lesser amount and I found they didn't care if they lost it. So, this is a monetary amount that they feel that they wish to bring it back on time so I can return it to the vendor so that it can be cleaned and re-rented. And, many of them have told me they'd bring it on on Monday morning and then they're going to take their girlfriend out for lunch. It's not unusual in with renting proms or young people. But, weddings it's generally they bring them in maybe in a group or something. And, then they either distribute it or I will then put it on a credit card the refund. Basically, that's how ordering a tux is handled."
