Tuxedo Neck & Sleeve Measurements

"I then go to take his neck measurement because he would want a shirt and that would be, I think 17 and 1/2 because we want it to be comfortable for the whole occasion. If we make it 17 it's going to be tight on him. Now shirts are adjustable. I will speak a little bit on that. Shirts, the necks usually are a little adjustable on a button that, that has like a little rubber on it and the waist on pants are adjustable so they can be a little, if, if you want to wear them one spot or a little tight you can get them to fit to your comfort. Now we measured the neck to be a 17 and 1/2 shirt and then we measure his sleeves. Now that would go from half of the neck over his shoulder down his arms to his hand and I would put that at 33. Now generally to my manufacturer or my vendor or my supplier I would call in the measurement. I do not pretend to tell them what size he takes for one reason. They may have to substitute a size and sometimes one size a 37 or a 38 would not make that much a difference. So if they don't have one we can supply the other and if there's any modifications in sleeve or anything I am a seamstress and can alter them quickly and then I have to put them back."
