"Hello, my name is Neil Draper, and we're talking today on mare care, and when the mare is ready to have it's foal. And, we're going to talk a little bit about tail wrap. And you can use this kind of gauze, or the veterinary wrap that's different colors. And, what you want to do is make sure that you do not put it on too tight. This tail is alive, and it ends about right there. You can feel the end of it, and you can pick it up and you can see the tail part. So you don't want it so tight that you cut off the circulation. So now, I'd want to take this and lay it on the tail, and pick up the tail, and be able to wrap it around tight enough to keep it from falling off, but loose enough that it does not restrict the blood flow. And so I'd just want to start in an area up close to the dock of the tail, and just take and make sure I get all the hair, and just start wrapping down as I go, to keep the area clean for birthing."
